Mercure Newbury Elcot Park Hotel unveil their refurbished public spaces and restaurant on 6th June 2014. The £300,000 total investment has also created a new meeting room, the Percy Shelley Room. Mercure Newbury Elcot Park Hotel is a Georgian Manor House and was formerly the home of Percy Shelley, the poet. It sits in 16 acres of landscaped gardens in a parkland estate, five miles from the centre of Newbury and within easy reach of the M4.
Mercure Newbury Elcot Park Hotel has 73 bedrooms, a conference centre and banqueting suite plus an orangery bar and restaurant overlooking the Kennet Valley.
