Marriott International's AC Hotels by Marriott chain has just made its debut appearance in the UK this week with two hotels.

The 142-bedroom AC Hotel Manchester Salford Quays and the 90-bedroom AC Hotel Birmingham City Centre.

Both hotels were formerly Ramada properties which have since been refurbished and rebranded. Both hotels will be managed by Valor Hospitality who already operate a range of Holiday Inns, Best Western hotels and Hilton properties in the UK.

AC Hotel Manchester Salford Quays is close to MediaCityUK, Manchester city centre and Old Trafford football and cricket grounds. It has a bar, restaurant, conference and business facilities.

AC Hotel Birmingham City Centre, with similar facilities to its Salford namesake, is located in the Mailbox complex in central Birmingham, a few minutes’ walk from Birmingham New Street station.
