Zip wire attraction operator Zip World is planning to develop an "adventure hotel" in Snowdonia to build on its existing investment in the area – reports Wales Business Insider magazine.

The hotel with caverns, slides, virtual reality technology and saunas would be close to its Zip World Fforest site near Betwys-y-Coed in North Wales.

Zip World is also planning to invest £6million developing and upgrading attractions in 2017.

Zip World believe the new hotel would help ease the current accommodation shortage around the Snowdonia site.
