The Grand Hotel in York will open their new restaurant – The Rise – in June 2017.

The Rise is part of a £15million expansion plan at the Grand Hotel.

The overall project which is due to complete autumn 2017 will also see the addition of a new bedroom wing increasing the number of bedrooms at the Grand hotel from 107 to 208.

The Rise is a 130-cover all-day dining restaurant, with Chef Craig Atchinson overseeing the menu. 

The Rise overlooks the York city walls and will feature an open kitchen, a cocktail bar, a heated garden terrace and interiors inspired by York’s local heritage.
