A new hotel could be arriving in Southend if plans to build a new stadium for Southend United Football Club are approved.

A new hotel together with residential apartments and a training academy have been incorporated into Southend United FC’s proposal to build a new 22,000-capacity stadium.

The new ground at Fossetts Farm will replace their existing Roots Hall stadium.

A planning applications has been submitted by the League One football club to Southend Borough Council.
