The Cabbage Hall Hotel in Liverpool, now a derelict pub in Anfield, is to be rebuilt as a 70-bedroom hotel following approval by Liverpool City planners.

The former pub was popular with Liverpool FC fans before it was gutted by a fire.

The new-look Cabbage Hall Hotel will be a four-storey building with bedrooms on three floors plus a restaurant and bar.

The plans have been recommended for approval subject to a number of conditions.
