Plans to build a new boutique hotel in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter have been given the green light.

The15-bedroom hotel will be created from a Grade II-listed former goldsmith’s factory in Frederick Street.

The building, which dates back to the 1860’s, is currently derelict and in a poor state of repair.

Conversion plans have been masterminded by Mosaic Pub and Dining. They own The Button Factory next door which now operates as a Mosaic Pub & Dining outlet.

Mosaic also operate The Distillery in Birmingham's Sheepcote Street on the opposite side of the city centre.

No anticipated opening dates are currently available.
