Forest Side hotel Grasmere in the Lake District has reopened following its two and half year total refurbishment.

Forest Side is a former Victorian hunting lodge which has been converted into a 20-bedroom hotel with a restaurant and bar.

The bedrooms are very stylish, individually designed and equipped with the latest in-room technology. Room varieties include ‘Cosy’, ‘Jolly’, ‘Good’, ‘Superb’ ‘Grand’ and ‘Master’ rooms – depending on room size and the views afforded.

Head Chef, Kevin Tickle, has an impressive c-v which includes a spell at L’Enclume at Cartmel, also in the Lake District. He will have the re-built, walled kitchen garden at Forest Side to plunder to ensure only the freshest ingredients reach the tables.

Forest Side is one of three hotels comprising Wildsmith Hotels. The other two are the Ryebeck in Bowness-on-Windermere and Hipping Hall in Kirkby Lonsdale.
