The Lodore Falls Hotel in the Lake District has received the go-ahead from the Lake District National Park Authority for a new hotel extension and spa.

Work is scheduled to start in January 2017 with a full ground floor refurbishment of the existing hotel encompassing bar, lounges, reception, restaurant, lobby and function room.

This work should be completed before summer 2017.

The next stage will see the demolition of the existing leisure facilities including the outdoor pool and squash court. In their place will be a new riverside, brasserie style restaurant overlooking Watendlath Beck, 18 new bedrooms and a full spa with treatment rooms, heat experiences and infinity spa pool.

Lodore Falls in Derwentwater is one of seven Lake District hotels which comprise the Lake District Hotels group. Sister properties include the Inn on the Square, the Skiddaw and Kings Arms hotels, all in Keswick; Borrowdale hotel, Borrowdale; George hotel in Penrith and Inn on the Lake in Ullswater.
