Proposals for a major overhaul at The Derby Conference Centre have been approved.

The Grade II-listed Derby Conference Centre plan to upgrade the facility's Astel House, Sunken Lounge, Stephenson Restaurant, Lecture Theatre, Wyvern Bar, Business Centre, reception area and toilet facilities.

The Derby Conference Centre also has 50 en-suite bedrooms in addition to its extensive meeting facilities. It was built as a training college for railway staff in 1938. In 2007 it was restored and relaunched as The Derby Conference Centre.

The Derby Conference Centre is located in London Road, Derby, close to East Midlands Airport with good access from the M1 and M42. It is a five minute drive from Derby station.
