Independent hotel group, Heritage Estates, has bought the 11-bedroom Cockliffe Country House Hotel in Nottinghamshire. The group will now undertake a £1million refurbishment of the hotel to upgrade the bedrooms, restaurant and conference facilities. This is expected to start in January 2015 with the first phase completed by April.

Cockliffe Country House Hotel is a 17th century former farmhouse in Burntstump Country Park, bordering Sherwood Forest and seven miles from both Nottingham city centre and Mansfield.
Cockliffe Country House Hotel joins Kelham House Country Manor, near Newark in Heritage Estates.
