The 111-bedroom Best Western Royal Clifton Hotel and Spa in Southport, Merseyside now has new owners who are looking to restore the Victorian building, which was constructed in 1855, back to its original glory.

A planned £2million investment will upgrade the property to four-AA-star status, refurbishing existing bedrooms and adding eight new ones. The hotel spa will also be refurbished. A new Beefy’s steakhouse restaurant is planned; the second one to open following the recent launch of the Sir Ian Botham inspired restaurant at Hilton at the Ageas Bowl Southampton.

Best Western Royal Clifton Hotel and Spa is centrally located on the Promenade in Southport with free parking and a few minutes walk from Southport station.
