Hard Rock Hotels plan to bring the sound of music to New York’s Music Row.
Hard Rock Café International, founded in London in 1971 and now the worldwide operators of Hard Rock Cafes and Hard Rock Hotels, has unveiled plans to open Hard Rock Hotel New York.
Scheduled to open late Spring 2019, the new-build, 445-bedroom Hard Rock Hotel New York will soon be rising on 48th Street between 7th Ave. and Avenue of the Americas. The area, previously known as Music Row, was once a musical mecca and one-stop-shop for rock legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and the Stones, as well as aspiring artists.
Hard Rock Hotel New York will honour the city's musical and cultural heritage with live music events and artist-inspired design elements. The hotel's design will feature memorabilia selected with a focus on contemporary artists who call New York home, as well as the musicians from the past that have shaped New York’s musical legacy.
Hard Rock Hotel New York will include a signature restaurant and lounge, as well as lobby bar. It will also feature a rooftop oasis which will host a range of day and evening activities, ranging from artist sessions and DJ sets, to events featuring some of the most influential artists and celebrities.
The music ‘theme’ will invade all parts of Hard Rock Hotel New York. The hotel will feature a Rock Spa offering music-infused Swedish massages and treatments.
Fender guitar and DJ-equipment rental will be delivered in-room for impromptu jamming sessions. Guests will also have access to the Body Rock workout facility and Rock Shop, where they can purchase the brand's merchandise.
So if music is ‘your bag’ and you don’t mind having a jamming session taking place in the next bedroom along, then head to Hard Rock Hotel in New York. If nothing else you will enjoy unrivalled views of Times Square and the Rockefeller Center from the hotel’s rooftop oasis.
Hard Rock International now has venues in 69 countries, including 164 cafes, 23 hotels and 11 casinos.
