Newcastle-based leisure company, the Malhotra Group, is investing £3million refurbishing its two Newcastle-on-Tyne hotels in a bid to enhance their appeal to business customers.
The New Northumbria Hotel (pictured left) located in the centre of Jesmond has refurbished and re-equipped its 50 delegate capacity meeting room.

The city-centre located Grey Street Hotel, which the group rescued from administration last summer, has four refurbished meeting rooms. Situated under the main hotel building, they are fully-fitted with plasma screens, wi-fi, air-conditioning, lighting and sound. The restaurants in both hotels have been refurbished - the Living Room at the Grey Street Hotel and the recently re-launched Scalini’s Italian restaurant at The New Northumbria Hotel.

A remodelling of the bedrooms at both hotels is continuing with additional bedrooms planned at the New Northumbria Hotel.
