Full marks to Hotel Café Royal, the five-star luxury hotel; in London’s West End.
It has addressed the pressing problem of what to do if you arrive at your hotel and find you haven’t packed your best suit or a suitable outfit for a special occasion.
No more need to tear your hair out and venture out shopping into a city you probably don’t know very well.
Hotel Café Royal has the answer. They have teamed up with a fashion house to offer a service where guests can get an entire emergency luxury wardrobe delivered to their hotel room in 90 minutes.
First the guest has a telephone conversation with a style consultant. What they want, the style, their favoured designers – you know the score. Budget is also discussed.
The consultant then picks out the required item or items from a range of designer and bespoke brands from their warehouse.
The item is then delivered to the guest’s room.
When the London Evening Standard sampled the service they sourced a Prada top with a feathered trim for £945.00 and an Azzaro green silk gown and a floral dress, a snip at £8410.00.
Apparently some guests do not wait until they lose their luggage before availing themselves of the service. After all, it is a chore trying to pack for the vagaries of the English climate.
The bespoke service at Hotel Café Royal has been launched initially for guests in the hotel suites but it could be extended if it proves popular.
