The Lowry Hotel in Manchester has just completed a £4million refurbishment, a programme instigated by its new owners. As part of the refurbishment the 165 bedrooms now have new SMART televisions and wi-fi, alongside new curtains, carpets, fabrics and colour schemes.
The next phase of the refurbishment programme will see an upgrading of the spa and the conference and banqueting suites.
The Lowry Hotel is the only city centre hotel in Manchester named after an artist and hence new artwork and particularly photography feature prominently in the new-look hotel. Ten new large-scale photographs of familiar Manchester locations, capturing the atmosphere of the city, now feature on each floor.
There is a new art gallery in the bar which changes every six weeks.
The Lowry Hotel is Manchester's only five star rated hotel. It is located on the Manchester/Salford border a short walk from Manchester Victoria station.
