Cranborne Lodge was a Grade II-listed manor house situated on the edge of Cranborne Chase in Dorset, a favourite hunting ground of medieval kings, with links to Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the D’Urbevilles.

Following a two year refurbishment, the eighteenth century house has been totally remodelled and has reopened as 10 Castle Street - a private members club but with parts of the club open to non-members.

Facilities include a fine-dining restaurant and  bar, a tasting room to seat up to 25 guests and an outside terrace; all situated on the ground floor and open to the general public.

The exclusive private members club is situated on the first and second floors and includes a member’s bar, dining room, drawing room, billiard room, a private outside bar and terrace.

10 Castle Street has ten individually designed luxury bedrooms of varying sizes some of which are 'pet-friendly’. Non-members can book bedrooms by becoming a passing member.

This comprises the first phase of the redevelopment.

A new purpose built spa and fitness centre will be the centrepiece of the second development phase at 10 Castle Street. This will include a state-of-the-art gym, a fitness studio, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool plus three treatment rooms.

Beannchor Group, owner of the Merchant Hotel in Belfast, look set to get approval for their new £4million 58-bedroom hotel planned in the former Lagan House building between Victoria Street and Ann Street in the centre of Belfast.

The hotel will be named the Bullitt Hotel, possibly inspired by the Steve McQueen film of the same name.

The hotel will be 'technology-led'  with work space featuring desk top computers with access for both residents and non-residents, high-speed wi-fi and charging points for mobile devices - plus a restaurant and bar, coffee shop and courtyard garden.

The Bullitt Hotel joins several new hotel developments planned in the centre of Belfast. These include the new £30million Grand Central hotel in the former Windsor House building in Belfast and the new 190-bedrom hotel planned in the City Quays development in the city.

Construction work starts early next year on the new 117-bedroom Hotel Indigo Bath. The boutique hotel is being created by a refurbishment to a number of Grade I-listed Georgian buildings in the centre of Bath.

Pratt’s Hotel is among those Georgian buildings which will form the new Hotel Indigo Bath. This will close temporarily from 4th January 2016 during the refurbishment. The Halcyon alongside will close from the end of January.

Hotel Indigo Bath is scheduled to open in spring 2017.
