Adagio, the aparthotels brand from Accor, is to open its second UK hotel in Edinburgh with 146 apartments. The four-storey hotel will open in Edinburgh's historic Old Town with a frontage onto both the Royal Mile and the Canongate. It is expected to be open by early 2017. Adagio Edinburgh will be one component of the overall £150million New Waverley development. Plans for the site include a mix of hotels, office, residential and retail space all centred around a £6.5 million civic square. Adagio Liverpool City Centre was the first Adagio to open in the UK. The 126-suite aparthotel opened last year and is located in the former Lewis's Building in central Liverpool.
