Two Scottish hotels, one in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh, are about to undergo a full refurbishment programme before remerging as Hilton properties.
The Glasgow City Hotel with 300 bedrooms and located in Cambridge Street will become the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central.
The Carlton Hotel with 189 bedrooms and located on North Bridge overlooking Edinburgh’s Royal Mile will become the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton.
A multi-million pound refurbishment programme has begun at both hotels which will last until the end of 2016. This will include fully refurbished bedrooms, public areas, bar, restaurant, reception areas and health and leisure facilities.
Both DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central and Hilton Edinburgh Carlton are now part of Amaris Hospitality Group one of the largest hotel owners in the UK.
