US-based Valor Hospitality Partners which added Ramada Manchester in Salford Quays and Ramada Birmingham City (pictured) to its portfolio earlier this year is planning to rebrand the properties.

Both will become AC by Marriott Hotels with Valor appointed to manage what will be the first two AC Hotels by Marriott hotels in the UK.

AC Hotels is Marriott's design-led, lifestyle brand with each hotel designed to reflect the uniqueness and character of its urban location.

Both hotels will evolve following expiry of the existing licenses into AC Hotels by Marriott, with completion due mid-2016.
