Plans for a new 149-bedroom four-star hotel in the centre of Manchester have been approved by Manchester city council
The site, on the corner of Princess Street and Whitworth Street, has been vacant for many years. The plan envisages three new buildings, 11, 13 and 14 storeys high. As well as the hotel, the project also includes private apartments, ground floor retails outlets and new public spaces.
Construction work is expected to start on site by mid 2016, with completion of the first stage in approximately 20 months.
