Construction of the glass viewing pod for the i360 vertical cable car which will shortly be gracing Brighton beach is now complete. When it opens British Airways i360 will be the world’s tallest moving observation tower, measuring 450ft. It will also be the world’s first vertical cable car.
British Airways i360 was conceived and designed by the creators of the London Eye and is scheduled to open in late Q2 2016.
The British Airways i360 viewing pod can be hired exclusively for an event for up to 200 people. It will have a sky bar, state of the art sound system and video screens. The pod will be heated, air-conditioned and fully accessible for wheelchair users.
The pod will be available for exclusive rides of 20 or 40 minutes during the day or 30 minutes or longer in the evening.
A range of fully flexible events rooms will be available at beach level, all with natural daylight, sound systems and beach terraces. The rooms will accommodate up to 450 guests for a reception down to 12 delegates for a boardroom meeting.
A heritage toll booth dating from 1866 has been fully restored by the i360 team and will be part of the complex. It will available to hire for private dining and receptions in the evening. It will accommodate up to 58 delegates for a reception or 16 guests seated for dinner.
During the evenings, the entire beach buildings and pod at British Airways i360 can be hired exclusively for an event for up to 1,000 people.
