VisitYork4Meetings has just published details of the latest investments planned by York-based venues.

Also in the New Year, the five star Grand Hotel & Spa is planning a £15 million redevelopment of the former Northern Railway HQ. Staycity apartments is a six-storey building under construction next to York Barbican and overlooking the Bar Walls, on the site of a former swimming pool. Staycity with 197 apartments should be completed in spring 2016.
Significant additions last year included a new events suite in the Best Western Monkbar hotel’s £3million development programme. Hotel Indigo, York's newest hotel, opened its doors with 101 bedrooms, plus a health and a fitness suite.
