A new 100-bedroom hotel and a business hub are planned in Liverpool as part of the £260million regeneration of Anfield currently being overseen by Liverpool City Council in partnership with local interests including Liverpool Football Club.
The proposed hotel, which is likely to cost up to £10million, would support training and employment opportunities in the hospitality trade for local young people.
The regeneration of Anfield includes the redevelopment of Liverpool FC's main stand, new and refurbished housing, improved shopping facilities and public spaces, office buildings as well as the training hotel.
Liverpool Football Club has just held a topping-out ceremony for the Main Stand expansion of their Anfield stadium. The new Main Stand is set to become one of the largest all-seater single stands in European football.
