The National Railway Museum in York is launching The Gallery, new events space available for hire from September 2016.

The Gallery can be booked for a wide range of events including conferences, product launches and exhibitions.

The Gallery will accommodate up to 200 delegates theatre-style. It will be equipped with the latest technology including free wi-fi. The space will be available for dry hire with the events team at the National Railway Museum on hand to help.

The Gallery can be hired for events from September 2016 until January 2017.

The National Railway Museum in York also has six multi-purpose meeting rooms seating up to 140 delegates as well as the large, unique platform venue for dinners for up to 800 guests. There is free parking on site and delegates cannot get much closer to York station.

The Flying Scotsman chugged out of London Kings Cross this morning (25th February) on its journey north to York. The Flying Scotsman, the oldest mainline working locomotive, will be in steam in the North Yard area of the museum on the evening of the 25th February. The viewing area will be lit until 10pm. The newly restored locomotive in its latest guise will then be on public show for ten days before its starts a nationwide tour.
