Starwood Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to open a dual-branded hotel at Tobacco Dock in east London. A 251-room Aloft London Tobacco Dock will be connected to a 77-suite Element London Tobacco Dock. Both hotels are scheduled to open at the beginning of 2017.
Aloft London Tobacco Dock will feature the brand’s signature loft-like ceilings, oversized windows and platform beds, alongside a WXYZ bar, Re:charge fitness centre and Re:fuel by Aloft deli.
‘Element’ is Starwood’s eco-conscious brand which although it was launched in 2008 is only now making its UK debut. Element London Tobacco Dock will include 77 studio, one bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Bedrooms will incorporate a fully-equipped kitchen. Guests will also be able to borrow bikes and use electric vehicle charging stations.
Aloft London Tobacco Dock will be the third ‘Aloft’ branded hotel to open in the UK. The first is already open at ExCeL in London, the second will be opening in Liverpool.
