Plans have been unveiled for a new 183-bedroom hotel in the centre of Leeds. The site is a 2.45-acre location off Bridge Street. It was last occupied by British Gas.
Planning permission is in place for four 40-storey towers on the site. However, a phased development is envisaged with the first part of the project involving the refurbishment and recladding of an existing ten-storey tower and its podium to accommodate the three-star hotel.
The building would be stripped back to its concrete frame prior to recladding, extension and fitting out. A 59-space car park is also in the plan.
These new proposals will be discussed by Leeds City Council planning committee meeting very shortly.
