A new hotel scheme has been unveiled in Cardiff.
A planned £40million investment will convert the Grade II-listed historic Coal Exchange building into a luxury 200-bedroom hotel.
Hotel and aparthotel developer, Signature Living, has signed an agreement with Cardiff Council to acquire the former office and music venue.
The new hotel will also include luxury serviced apartments and a restaurant. The former trading hall will become an events venue with a capacity of up to 1000 delegates.
The Coal Exchange is located in Cardiff Bay. It was constructed between 1883 and 1886 and was used to trade coal.
The redevelopment is expected to take 18 months. However the first phase is scheduled to open later this year.
