Plans to build a new four-star hotel in Manchester have been revealed.
A planning application has been made for a 172-bedroom AC by Marriott Hotel with a bar-restaurant plus meeting and leisure facilities to be built on the edge of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
The hotel would have two wings, a nine storey and an eight storey, with public areas on the ground floor and accommodation on the upper floors.
The scheme is located on a brownfield site which is currently used as a surface car park.
The new hotel is viewed as a catalyst bringing forward the regeneration of this part of Manchester.
