A new 100-bedroom Mercure hotel is set to open in Bridgwater, Somerset in autumn 2017. The four-storey hotel will include a bar, restaurant, gym as well as two ground floor retail units.
Construction work has started on site following the signing of an agreement with the AccorHotel Group.
The site, located at the junction of Eastover, Monmouth Street, St John Street and Broadway is in the centre of Bridgewater and a five minute drive from the M5 motorway at junction 23.
The new hotel forms the first part of an overall regeneration plan. Three existing buildings have been demolished to make way for the new development.
