The transformation of Haigh Hall Wigan into the 30-bedroom Haigh Hall Hotel is taking shape.

A planned £6million transformation of the Grade II-listed Haigh Hall will create a 30-bedroom four-star boutique hotel with a spa and fitness centre.

The main first phase will see the creation of a ground floor ballroom and restaurant at Haigh Hall Hotel. This should be complete by the middle of July. The next major phase will be creating the first 12 bedrooms which should be ready by the start of autumn 2016.

The £12million masterplan for Haigh Woodland Park in which Haigh Hall Hotel sits is already taking shape. Plans for a new adventure playground are already completed and infrastructure works in progress.

Plans have also been submitted for an adventure golf course, which could be onsite in the autumn of 2016 along with a new high ropes attraction scheduled to open in August.

A kitchen courtyard, providing a base for artisan food and drink producers, is being developed with a view to opening its doors at the end of the summer.
