More details have been released about the proposed new Malmaison hotel planned in the city of York.
The site is Yorkshire House, an office block in Rougier Street, dating from 1962 and the former offices of Aviva.
Developers are planning a 124-bedroom hotel with a roof level extension to house 36 serviced suites and residential apartments on the upper levels.
A restaurant and bar are proposed for the upper ground floor with a "kiosk" alongside the main entrance for a small coffee shop.
The exterior of the building will remain largely unchanged although new large picture windows would be introduced at ground floor level to serve the reception/coffee shop area.
If plans are approved Malmaison York would join a 15-strong portfolio of Malmaison Hotels located in key cities across the UK.
