Malaysian hospitality group YTL Hotels has acquired three hotels in the UK bringing the total number of their properties to 29 worldwide.
The three hotels are: The Glasshouse Hotel in Edinburgh (pictured), Monkey Island in Bray-on-Thames in Berkshire and the Academy Hotel in London.
The Glasshouse Hotel is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. The building started life as a church in the nineteenth century before it was converted to a 77-bedroom boutique hotel with a rooftop garden in 2003. It is located in central Edinburgh.
Monkey Island is located on a small island in the River Thames in Berkshire, close to the town of Bray. Monkey Island is scheduled for a redesign during 2017.
The Academy Hotel comprises five restored Georgian townhouses in London’s West End. The Academy is also about to undergo a full refurbishment shortly.
The three hotels join, what has been to date, the sole UK representative in the YTL Collection: Gainsborough Bath Spa.
