Manchester skyscraper hotel approved

Plans to build a 52-storey skyscraper at the former Granada Studios site in Manchester city centre have been approved.

The project will include a new Nadler Hotel on the lower 18 floors with private apartments above.

The former Granada Studios complex is one component of the 13-acre St John’s £1.3bn regeneration scheme in central Manchester.

The overall scheme will include an eight-storey aparthotel, a mix of cultural venues including the £110million Factory arts centre plus residential and commercial units.
