The Montcalm Royal London House - City of London has just opened with 253 bedrooms in Finsbury Square - in a converted mid-20th century former office building, a short walk from Liverpool Street station in central London.
Interior designers have maintained the building’s features, with copper pipe lighting and exposed brick walls mixed with original reclaimed parquet flooring and feature staircases.
Bedrooms include 18 junior suites, 14 master suites and nine studio suites with kitchenettes designed for the long-stay guest. The suites, some with private balconies, overlook the Shard and other City of London landmarks.
All bedrooms have iPod docking stations and a Smart 55” TV.
As well as complimentary high speed wi-fi, Montcalm Royal London House - City of London also claims to be the first hotel in the UK to offer 10GB bandwidth capacity on demand, ensuring its agility to cope with peaks in network usage for meetings and events.
Montcalm Royal London House - City of London has two restaurants and two bars. The ground-floor ‘Burdock’ features a juice bar, lounge area and restaurant designed for breakfast meetings and networking, as well as business lunches, after work drinks and dinner.
‘Aviary’ is the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and boasts a view across the City skyline.
In November Montcalm Royal London House - City of London will launch their meeting and events space. A main suite will accommodate up to 300 guests with smaller rooms for around 60 people. Three private meeting rooms will include a terrace overlooking the City. All meeting rooms will feature natural daylight.
