New owners of the former Bow Street Magistrates’ Court building in central London plan to convert it into a hotel.
The Grade II-listed Magistrates Court – which staged the trials of Oscar Wilde and the Kray Twins amongst many others – ceased its legal function in 2006. Planning permission was granted in 2013 to convert it into a 100 bedroom hotel.
A £125million investment is planned and a world class boutique hotel is the object - with an anticipated opening in 2019.
