The Grade II-listed Pier House Hotel in Charlestown, Cornwall has just been sold to St Austell Brewery.
The quayside hotel, which overlooks the harbour and Saint Austell Bay, includes 27 bedrooms, a bar/bistro and an à la carte restaurant.
Pier House Hotel has featured in films including ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ and more recently has had a starring role as part of the port setting in episodes of the BBC’s Poldark series.
Previously called the Charlestown Hotel, the Pier House was built in 1794 as two farm cottages. The farmhouse began taking in paying guests before the First World War and became a hotel.
Pier House Hotel joins fifteen small hotels and inns in the St Austell Brewery group - all located throughout Cornwall and South Devon.
