Allied London, new owners of London Road Fire Station in Manchester, will shortly submit a planning application for its redevelopment.

Plans include restaurants, workspaces plus a 91-bedroom Zetter Hotel.

Plans also include a new venue and event space called the Fire Bar. This will be created by excavating space under the fire station, with access from a glass pavilion in the centre of the triangular courtyard.

Alongside its 91 bedrooms, the Zetter Hotel will also include a banqueting hall and meeting rooms.

London Road Fire Station is located in the centre of Manchester alongside Manchester Piccadilly station.

No more than half a mile from Piccadilly station plans to build  another new four star hotel on the corner of Whitworth Street and Princess Street have been abandoned for the second time. New apartments will now take its place instead.
