Plans to convert the former Knutsford Crown Court building in Cheshire into a hotel and restaurant have received full planning consent.
The Grade II-listed Sessions House is a three-storey Georgian property which was constructed in 1818.
The Sessions House is to be converted into the 42-bedroom Courthouse Hotel complete with a 150-cover restaurant and bar and events space for up to 550 people.
Ten bedrooms will be housed in the buildings two existing wings and these are expected to open in 2017. A 32-bedroom extension is planned at the rear of the Courthouse Hotel and these are scheduled to open in 2018.
The Courthouse Hotel is situated in Toft Road in the centre of Knutsford.
The Courthouse Hotel will be operated by Flat Cap Hotels, a family run group who also own The Vicarage Freehouse and Rooms in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire
