Signature Living has added the Alma De Cuba bar and restaurant to its growing portfolio of properties in Liverpool. Alma De Cuba is a set inside Liverpool’s former St Peter’s Catholic Church.
Signature Living are now planning a refurbishment of the Grade II-listed building as well as adding a new 75-bedroom Alma De Cuba hotel next door.
Until its closure in 1978, St. Peter’s was the oldest surviving Catholic Church in Liverpool. It opened in 1788 and served as a Catholic church until 1976, after which it served the local Polish community for a short time. For this reason it is referred to locally as ‘the Polish Church’.
Signature Living has also bought the Alma De Cuba brand name and plan to roll the Alma De Cuba concept out in cities across the UK.
Signature Living own several aparthotels across Liverpool including 30 James Street in the former White Star Line headquarters as well as the Shankly Hotel in Victoria Street.
