Alderley Park Conference Centre in Cheshire is planning a substantial investment to introduce more "digitally sophisticated" facilities.
A two-stage upgrade of the venue's technology and interior décor has already begun. The plan is to position Alderley Park in the top division of international conference venues.
Works include the installation of 4k digital projection in the main Nucleus Auditorium, as well as adding multi-screen projection units and upgrading the technology in the seminar suites.
A new bespoke video conferencing suite is also included in the plans.
Alderley Park Conference Centre was formerly an AstraZeneca pharmaceutical facility. New owners of the building launched the facilities in the commercial conference market in June 2016.
The Nucleus Auditorium is the centrepiece of the Alderley Park facilities. It features a 233-tiered seat auditorium, a stage, lectern and comprehensive AV facilities and support plus video conferencing and networking facilities.
Adjoining there is 2600 sq. ft. of exhibition and catering space with natural daylight.
A series of eight flexible meeting rooms located next to the Nucleus Auditorium will accommodate from ten to 150 delegates with projection, screen and PA equipment and acoustic walling for a variety of room lay outs. There is natural daylight throughout
Alderley Park Conference Centre is situated in 400 acres of Cheshire parkland, 12 miles south of Manchester City centre and five miles from Manchester Airport. The M6 motorway is a 20 minute drive away. There are trains every 20 minutes to London from nearby Wilmslow Station.
