The Lodge will complement the existing 117 bedrooms at the Solent Hotel and Spa in Fareham. Both properties are part of Thwaites Hotels and Spas.
The Lodge bedrooms, which include seven rooms with a balcony, will feature the latest technology including a flat screen television, USB charging points as well as a walk -in shower, a good bed and plenty of desk space.
The Lodge at Solent Hotel and Spa will be the second lodge developed by Thwaites. It follows on from the success of the Lodge on the Park at Aztec Hotel and Spa in Bristol.
Thwaites have six hotel properties: Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa in Leeds; Cottons Hotel and Spa, Knutsford; North Lakes Hotel and Spa, Penrith; Solent Hotel and Spa, near Southampton; Aztec Hotel and Spa, Bristol and Kettering Park Hotel and Spa, Northamptonshire.
They were recently brought under the Thwaites brand together with the company’s Inns of Character, after previously being known as Shire Hotels.
Thwaites Hotels & Spas are celebrating after being named the top hotel group in the country. The chain of six hotels was presented with the AA Hotel Group of the Year 2016-17 Award at a ceremony in London. It is the second time the Thwaites-owned hotels have won the award.
