Somerset House just off the Strand in central London has unveiled two new events spaces in a newly opened New Wing of the centre of contemporary culture.
They are the Lancaster Room and the River Rooms. Both have been fully restored whilst retaining their original characteristics.
The Lancaster Room (pictured) has views over the Thames. The room’s original features have all been retained including the dramatic pillars, the high ceilings and exposed floor boards.
The Lancaster Room has its own private entrance.
The Lancaster Room is a blank canvas space available for receptions, dinners, press days, product launches, filming and photography. The room will seat up to 110 guests for a dinner.
The River Rooms are a series of interlinking open plan rooms situated in the New Wing featuring their original fireplaces and exposed brick archways.
The River rooms are also blank canvas spaces which will accommodate up to 220 guests for a reception and are available for press days, product launches, filming and photography and other events.
