If ‘opened within the last three months’ counts as new, then Mimi’s Hotel in London is new. It opened last December in Frith Street in Soho.
Mimi’s Hotel is just down the road from Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. Entrance to the hotel is from Frith Street through a cocktail bar which sets the scene for a small but sophisticated 53 bedroom hotel.
Bedrooms at Mimi’s Hotel come in four categories ranging from seven sq-mt ‘Tiny Rooms’, with or without windows, to ‘Lux Rooms’ between 18 and 21 sq-mt.
All bedrooms at Mimi’s Hotel offer ‘high-end’ luxurious finishes with sound insulation for the walls and floors, underfloor heating in the bedroom and bathroom, a flatscreen TV with complimentary in-room movie/music offerings and free wi-fi - plus a rainwater shower, heated mirrors and a hairdryer in the bathroom.
The rooms also include a direct dial telephone, air conditioning and complimentary still water.
The ground floor at Mimi’s Hotel houses the bar with a fireplace and reclaimed oak flooring. It evolves from a breakfast room and meeting spot in the morning to a cocktail bar at night.
Mimi’s Hotel is located in Soho, right in the heart of central London within easy walking distance of the city’s main attractions.
