New Moxy Hotel set for York

A new-build 120-bedroom Moxy Hotel in York is set to receive the ‘green-light’ from city planners despite objections.

The Moxy Hotel, from the Marriott group, is planned for a site in Peasholme Road in York, despite objections from Historic England and local residents.

Moxy is the Marriott group’s less formal brand; its bid for the ‘lifesyle with attitude’ market.

Moxy features a bright, open lobby with a 24/7 food and beverage offering plus a ‘Plug and Meet’ gathering area.

Moxy bedrooms are stylish designer-led and equipped with a 42 inch flat screen HD television, a high quality sound system and complimentary wi-fi.
