Dorsett Shepherds Bush hotel in west London is set for an expansion.
The hotel’s owner, Dorsett Hospitality International Group, has gained planning approval to develop the Shepherd’s Bush Palladium alongside the hotel into 74 serviced apartments.
Development is expected to begin in 2018 with completion the following year.
The building will have eight storeys added to accommodate a combination of one-bedroom and duplex serviced apartments. The ground floor will feature a restaurant linked to the Dorsett Shepherds Bush and the lower ground floor will house a café and entertainment space.
The Shepherd’s Bush Palladium dates back to 1910 and is steeped in history. The redevelopment will preserve the building’s original Edwardian façade as well as the historic details.
The 317-bedroom Dorsett Shepherds Bush opened in 2014 and it marked the group’s entry into the UK hotel market.
Their second hotel, also in London, will be the 267-bedroom Dorsett City in Aldgate. It is planned to open on 2nd July 2017 with 267 bedrooms, two restaurants, a 24-hour gym, event space and a destination rooftop terrace bar.
