Dominvs Group has been granted planning consent from the City of London to build a new hotel on Ludgate Hill near to St Paul’s Cathedral on a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The 7,664sqm sq-mt hotel will be developed behind the façade of Creed Court.
The façade will be retained and the existing buildings on site demolished. In place alongside there will be a part-five and part-seven storey building with three lower ground floor levels.
The luxury hotel will include bedrooms across six floors plus a restaurant and spa. Existing retail units at ground level will be retained.
Dominvs will develop and operate the hotel, although the company has not yet published branding details.
The Ludgate Hill hotel will become Dominvs’ second development in London.
The group is currently converting the former Tower Bridge Magistrates Court into a luxury 200-bedroom hotel. It is expected to open in 2019 and operate under Marriott’s Autograph Collection.
A further hotel development is planned for London on a site Dominvs acquired last year on Old Marylebone Road in Westminster.
