Travelodge has unveiled a new room category in selected hotels which will feature extra amenities. The new ‘Super Room’ is targeting the business traveller.
The rooms will be located on quieter ‘business floors’ and they will feature a more residential décor than the standard rooms.
The Super Rooms will have extra plug sockets as well as USB ports by the bedside and desk. Mood lighting will be controlled by a bedside control panel.
The rooms will also have a Lavazza coffee machine, a desk and a swivel chair, a reading lamp and an armchair, an iron and ironing board plus a full length mirror.
Travelodge has introduce the new Super Room at four London hotels – Waterloo, Euston, Farringdon and City Road – and will be opening at Heathrow Central from the middle of May. They represent about 20-25 per cent of room stock in those properties.
By autumn 2017 Travelodge plan to have about 1,000 Super Rooms across 17 hotels.
