Construction work is expected to start shortly converting the landmark Anchor Line building on St Vincent Place in Glasgow into a 64-bedroom aparthotel for The White Building Development Company.
The aparthotel will feature a mix of studio and one bedroom apartments.
The Anchor Line building was designed 110 years ago for the shipping line of that name.
A £5.5million revamp will see all six floors of the building refurbished, although some original features including glazed tiles, terrazzo flooring, timber wall panelling, safes and fireplaces will remain.
The building’s ground and basement floors will remain home to the Anchor Line restaurant and Atlantic Restaurant.
The Anchor Line building is located in the heart of Glasgow between Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street stations.
