The Saxon Crown, a Wetherspoon’s hotel in Corby, Northamptonshire, is seeking to more than triple the number of bedrooms it operates as part of a £1.5million investment plan.
The Saxon Crown opened with 12 bedrooms, two conference rooms, a ground-floor bar plus a beer garden in 2014.
Wetherspoon are now proposing to covert the upper floors of the shop next door into a new 30-bedroom extension.
A decision on the plan is expected to be made by Corby Borough Council later this year.
The Saxon Crown is situated in a 1960s landmark building in Corby. The building was formerly an East Midlands Co-Operative building. Its 12 bedrooms are luxuriously fitted and furnished with an HD LCD smart TV, hospitality tray, plenty of plug points, USB charging points and rainfall showers in the en-suite bathrooms.
The Saxon Crown is located in Elizabeth Street in Corby town centre.
